I Ketut Darmayasa, S.IP., MM., CHT., is an accomplished hospitality strategist, master trainer, tourism academic, and industry practitioner with more than twenty-five years of distinguished experience across the hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, competency development, and professional training sectors in Indonesia. Recognized for his multidimensional leadership approach integrating operational excellence, human capital transformation, cultural authenticity, and sustainable tourism, Ketut has consistently strengthened Indonesia’s hospitality ecosystem through executive leadership, professional certification, education, consultancy, and organizational development. Throughout his professional journey, he has held strategic positions as General Manager of Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali, Founder of Badara Hospitality, President of IFBEC National (The Indonesian Food & Beverage Executive Association), Committee Member of IFBA (The International Food & Beverage Association), member of the National Tourism Professional Board (NTPB – Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy), competency assessor, tourism business auditor, public speaker, lecturer, hospitality mentor and Expert Advisor to the Bali Provincial Parliament (DPRD Bali Province).
His professional reputation extends beyond operational management into the broader landscape of competency development and tourism transformation. Ketut has actively participated in international conferences, culinary judging panels, tourism leadership forums, and cross-border hospitality collaborations in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Hainan, positioning Indonesian hospitality professionalism within global discourse. As a three-time recipient of the MURI (Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia) award, the author of a book on Balinese Arak heritage, and an active researcher in food waste management and sustainable hospitality, he consistently advocates integrating local wisdom, tourism sustainability, and professional excellence. Currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Tourism Business at Politeknik Negeri Bali, Ketut continues to bridge the practical realities of industry with academic inquiry, emphasizing competency-based development, hospitality leadership transformation, and sustainable tourism innovation

Ketut began his career in hotel operations before rising to General Manager of Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali, where he led strategic transformation in service quality and financial performance. In 2020, he founded Badara Hospitality, a professional training and consulting enterprise focused on elevating operational excellence through humancapital development. As a lecturer at Polytechnic OTC Bali, he continues to mentor students in tourism business management, instilling a culture of practical skill, character, and service authenticity.
